Theo finally Signs Da Ting|Arsenal may miss out on targets.

Hello gooners! The good times are just around the corner for the boss, times when he would be blessed with the ‘selection headache’ thanks to a number of players coming through.

First of is the imminent return to the first team of agile France midfielder Abou Diaby, last seen limping off the Emirates pitch early on in the loss to the chavs.

Our number two came through an hour and five minutes of action with the reserves in a 1-1 draw with their West Bromwich-Albion counterparts, this time leaving the Colney field unscathed.

Along with Andre Santos, who has been out since November with an abdominal injury, Diaby’s return to fitness will undoubtedly seem much like a new signing for the boss… you should know your manager by now, stop grumbling.

More delighting however, are various reports strongly suggesting that Theo Walcott has agreed a four and a half year contract worth £90,000 per week, with a £3m sign on fee and some side change to cushion that.

And that potentially would make him our third January signing. Keep up, and watch as the links to Lucas Biglia and others simmer down till summer and another go at silly season comes.

Seriously though, Walcott signing da ting within the week plus Diaby’s return (yet again) would be a major boost for us, considering the pile of fixtures coming up over the next 17 days from Sunday; including three Category A, £62-for-the-cheapest-ticket fixtures.

Elsewhere, Gerv. will be away with the Cote D’Ivoire squad for the African Cup of Nations in South Africa and Eddie Gervais has vowed to this time get the Cup winning goal for the Elephants there.

You will recall all Ivorian heads sunk when Gerv sent his penalty wide in the shootout against unfancied Zambia, who won their first AFCON with the following (18th) spot kick.

Eddie Gervais’ absence will be felt at the club from Sunday when Manchester $ity come visiting in a Premier League match, thankfully (and hopefully) the absence of Yaya (especially) and Kolo car dealer Toure will be felt too.

There isn’t much to report on to be honest. I must apologise about the seldomness of posts at the moment, let’s just say we’re working the rustiness off. Oh no, we won’t blame Ramsey for that.

Two thoughts before going. First, when I saw the team sheet for the 2-2 draw at Swansea, I thought Ramsey was to be the playmaker with Cazorla out left.

Turned out it was Ramsey out left but… with Diaby coming back (bear in mind Jack wasn’t back then), what do you think of Cazorla going out wide to allow a midfield trio of Diaby, Wilshere and Arteta?

Second thought, Chelsea have been ‘linked’ with a £22m move for Marouane Fellaini, apparently, word on a buy-out clause in his Everton contract came out. The transfer looks likely and it gets worse for us.

As a result Everton are looking at replacing him with Wigan’s James McCarthy. Yes, the same McCarthy we were linked to a couple of days ago. So as it stands we might be missing out on two very good players.

Maybe it’s all paper talk, maybe Wenger has other plans. And yes, he must have plans seeing as it was Theo’s contract slowing us down in the transfer window. Now that it’s been sorted we can go out and do some business.

Get ready boys and girls, it’s going to be a ride filled with troughs and crests from now till the window closes!

What player(s) would you love to see us sign this January?

Have a great Thorsday, smashing obstacles off your path of greatness.

Until Tomorrow.
